How did we get here?

Updated: Apr 17, 2021

From Red Hot Running Horses, to Red Hot Equine Aminos!

What do you know about the amino acid content in your feed?

I’m sure you can tell me the protein level. Did you know that in order to utilize that protein, horses need aminos. There are two groups of aminos, essential and nonessential. Essential aminos need to be in their diet because horses cannot produce them.

Think of the essential aminos like building a beaded necklace. Every 4 beads, should be a red one. If you have one bag of beads, and you run out of red, all production of the necklace stops. You can’t build any more. But, if you added more beads (aminos), you wouldn’t run out of red and you could build the necklace big enough to fit on Big Tex! (Or as big or long as you possibly wanted) THATS WHAT AMINOS DO.

It doesn’t matter how great your feed program is, if they can’t utilize what you’re feeding them because they are missing essential aminos in their diet that are needed for all cellular processes.

If they aren’t getting enough aminos, they can’t repair muscle fast enough, they have to wait until the aminos are all present to rebuild. If they are missing one? Synthesis stops.

The National Research Council (NRC) recommends for a mature 1100 lbs horse under working load to need 46 grams of lysine a day. More is needed if they are growing.

(Now, go read your feed bag.)

If it’s not a listed ingredient... meaning added in simple form (easy to digest) then they are including content from the plant ingredients, however because of the cellular thickness, plant contents aren’t as easily digestible for the horse and often times, it’s not breaking down enough until it’s in the hind gut. Which means it’s not always present when it’s needed to be absorbed by the foregut.

My goal isn’t to have some miracle supplement, but to insure I’m getting the most out of what I’m already feeding and insuring that my horses body is capable and fueled to do all the amazing things it was created it to do. With aminos it can REPAIR, grow, build, recover, it can handle pressure and stress.

  • REPAIR PRE WORKOUT PASTE: A straight up amino BOOST, it has 11 essential amino acids along with extra threonine. This is geared just towards performance or strenuous workouts. It can help horses not only be less sore, but get over soreness from workouts and recover quickly. The base formula includes an ingredient to help sooth their stomach from stress at a show. Soy that is in the pastes is grown on farm and is naturally expelled. If you know you’re at a 3 day show, you can start it the day before, give it two hours out from competition, and the day after. This is also a great boost if you give it after a horse had a difficult workout. Stress from hauling? Try some REPAIR.

>>>It was made to give with...<<<

  • RED HOT REPAIR: This is ensuring your horse is getting a daily serving of all their essential aminos, with added electrolytes. We decided not to give electrolytes in a tube, because we didn’t want to upset the stomach on al ulcery horse. It has sugar because horses need glycogen easily available, if they don’t have enough, they turn protein into glycogen instead. Glycogen is the quickest and most effective way to fuel muscle contraction, while blood glucose is the most energy effective for all none muscular functions, such as respiratory needs and brain function. Typically horses get this from grass and such, however, many of our performance horses do not get enough. Repair is SOY FREE for horses that may have an allergy.

  • FOCUS PRE WORKOUT PASTE: Is the same formula as REPAIR, with added CBD. Not only has CBD been shown to reduce anxiety in horses without slowing down their feet, but it has great pain reduction and anti inflammatory properties as well. This is great for horses with osteo/joint issues, arthritis, and can also help along with the aminos to REPAIR soft tissues.

  • RED HOT FOCUS: Is the same formula as RED HOT REPAIR with added CBD. This currently comes in 30 day supply, but is also available in 5lb and 10lb tubs. We use a CBD isolate that gives you all the benefits, but also remains TEST FREE. What does this mean for you? It is the purest form of CBD and the best for our horses. There is ZERO chance of it containing any THC.

>>>Both products may be used with...<<<

  • RED HOT FIRE PRE WORKOUT: This is meant to give 2 hours prior to competition and is a boost of essential aminos and a few added semi essential aminos, that’s formulated to increase circulation, pump up the immune response, and delay onset of fatigue by reducing lactic acid production and improving antioxidant levels during exercise!

  • RED HOT FIRE: Is a daily serving that’s geared towards health preservation and maintaining optimum health. This can be given with REPAIR or FOCUS, as it does not contain all the essential amino acids or electrolytes that are needed in your horses diet. It does contain ingredients that support increased circulation, overall cardiovascular health, while supporting healthy immune function. FIRE can enhance overall exercise performance, recovery, help to improve cardiac function and blood flow, while reducing the impact of lactic acid. It may also prove beneficial in wound repair, surgical recovery and tendon healing by enhancing circulation, we can improve the delivery of nutrients to the tissue for healing purposes. The immune function in FIRE is also needed in the process of tissue repair, which helps to clear dead tissue and fluid accumulation, it has countless benefits due to improved blood flow and vasodilation to the digital region. My horses have had enough leg injuries this spring to support this.

All products were designed by me, for my program. How did we start to sell it you ask? Well to be able make it for myself, I had to order some pretty large quantities! Poof! New company born!

I wanted to find the best way to have my horses firing on all cylinders, while trying to keep as much junk out of their diet as I could. I wanted my products to align with scientific studies that have been done and I didn’t want to listen to what other companies told me. I encourage you to start reading labels. Learn the terminology.

My mindset in creating these products was if I was scared to try it myself, I didn’t want to give it to my horses. They told me I wouldn’t be able to sell aminos... and we sold out completely on our first order!!

I believe if people were educated on the subject, you wouldn’t feed anything else! I have already noticed a difference on my own horses these last few months and want to thank everyone for having faith in me. Thank you everyone for your support! If you have any questions, please reach out! We got the new website up, if you see any errors, feel free to tell me, I made it myself also!
